Geofón is a sensitive omnidirectional geophone adapted for field recording. Originally designed for seismic measurements, it captures very faint vibrations in various materials and even soil with standard field recording equipment. It sounds best on metallic objects, large structures, trees and ice. It is used by sound designers, musicians, field recordists and sound artists around the world, as well as for infrastructure monitoring and soil research.
